When the sun goes down, passion is unleashed.
Kennedy Beaumont loves her bartending job, even if her spirited nature sometimes gets her in trouble. Like threatening to hose down one of Pendragon’s co-owners. When it comes to Tristan, she could use a good hosing down herself—maybe it’ll help her stop casting him as the star of her wickedest dreams. Since he goes out of his way to avoid her, it ought to be easy to put him out of her head—until he reluctantly offers her a ride home.

Gargoyle shape-shifter Tristan Callaghan hasn’t had time for anything other than recovering the mystical dagger that was used to permanently lock his brother in a prison of stone. The cat inside him should have stopped craving Kennedy’s touch long ago, but now that she’s sitting next to him in his car, his very human need for her is sharper than ever.

The distraction is costly. In a split second, Kennedy finds herself thrust into a dangerous, millennia-old hunt for Excalibur. A hunt that marks her for death—and leaves Tristan with a painful choice—sacrifice his family, his quest…or the one woman meant to be his.

Still mourning the loss of his mate, Cale is stunned to find Sorcha alive. Yet the woman he aches to possess doesn’t recognize him and is after the only thing that will save his brother—a mystical weapon that will lead to Excalibur.

He will have his revenge…one wicked seduction at a time.
Emma is used to getting dragged into her twin sister’s magical messes, but this time her predicament is more than a minor annoyance. She’s chained to a cat shifter that her sister encased in a curse of stone. Worse, the unfortunate gargoyle’s waking up. And her sister’s not there to take the heat.

After a century suspended in stone, Cian would do anything to get his hands on the sorceress who put him there. Strangely, his dreams of revenge turn into an animal hunger to put his hands all over her—in every delightfully wicked way imaginable.

Never as talented as her sister, Emma doesn’t trust her own magic. But for now she must let Cian believe she’s the culprit in order to strike a bargain: to permanently lift the curse in exchange for his tracking skills to find her missing sister. The longer she is near him, though, the closer she comes to surrendering much more than her body to the brutal warrior.

As their attraction catches fire, Emma dreads what could happen when he learns the truth. If he will sacrifice her to break the spell…or fight for a love that goes beyond animal instinct.

Condemned to darkness…tempted by passion.
Enslaved by a vengeful goddess, forced to live on blood, Lucan can barely remember life as a knight of the Round Table. Yet when one woman’s touch awakens millennium-old feelings that tame the savage darkness within him, he has no choice but to deny their all-consuming passion—for her own protection.

Cat-shifter Briana Callaghan has watched all three of her brothers find their mates, but love isn’t in her future. Especially when her mate turns out to be a lethal mercenary…and the only man ever to break her heart.
When she’s chosen to compete in the Gauntlet, an immortal death match, Briana realizes the prize—the sword Excalibur—is her only hope of severing the fierce bond that has the power to destroy her.

Stunned to find themselves pitted against each other, Briana and Lucan quickly find that the only thing they’re fighting harder than their enemies is their sizzling, heartbreaking chemistry. But even if they survive the Gauntlet, claiming the woman he loves will be as impossible as letting her go.

A born and raised Maritimer, Sydney Somers fell in love with writing when she finished her first story, Jenny and the Glowing Green Mittens. After attempting her first book in high school, she set writing aside to focus on school. While getting her degrees in psychology and education, Sydney tried her hand at journalism between part time jobs before finally returning to her love of writing.

Twenty-five novels and novellas later, Sydney is thrilled to spend her days slaying demons, running with shape-shifter packs and making the people in her head fall wildly in love. When she’s not writing or curled up with a good book, Sydney can be found chasing after her herd of kids, talking her way into a gourmet meal, exterminating rogue dust bunnies or joking about the pending zombie apocalypse. She loves hearing from readers and invites them to contact her anytime.

Book 1 Primal Hunger
A really easy and fun read, and a great start to the series!  its not too heavy so no concentration really needed! A lot of heated moments which are written really well (but obviously not advised for those younger readers!).
The beginning of the series starts to show the main aim and strategy to this series is around Avalon, King Arthur and of course, Excalibur.
There are a number of daggers that if collected in one place will reveal Excalibur.  Then it will need to be guarded until King Arthur arises to take control.
So naturally theres sides to this story, good, bad and the unknown!
I love the fact that the paranormal are in fact cat shifters who to turn to stone during the day. Something I've never come across before!
A really good start, and have already picked up book 2 and nearly finished that too.
A good read!

Book 2 Primal Attraction
a great second book in the series.

This one follows Cale, The brother from the first book, Tristan.

Again, the background storyline is about Avalon and the daggers hidden and to find and to bring King Arthur back to finish the battle that started all those years ago.

But, as in the first book, the strongest storyline is about the Gargoyle in question finding his mate.

Cale's story isnt as straightforward as Tristans.  His mate "died" 80 years ago...well, thats what he saw...
But here she is right in front of him....trying to kill him.

Sorcha is now an immortal huntress who under the goddess Rhiannon, is trained to be an assassin for traitors.  Rhiannon sends her after Cale, telling her hes a traitor.

Not smooth sailing, Sorcha as a huntress has her memories erased every 100 years, so she cant remember Cale. Its up to him to convince her, and show her that theyre mates.
Sorcha has to fight with the inner huntress that should have killed him the instant she saw him as directed, and is failing this, and with her growing feelings for Cale.

Im really enjoying these books. Theyre not too heavy. The steamy scenes are written well and not crude, and has humour in them that has you smiling along.
Im already on the next book and again, totally enjoying it!

As a paranormal fan, this hits all the right keys with me - shifters, romance, strong storylines (although id like a bit more of the background Avalon story to start moving along now. Two books later and they still only have one of the six daggers that are needed - but this makes me think that the author has more than the four books already out in mind - which im more than happy with if they carry on being written in the same fashion!), humour, likeable characters, and just fun to read!

Book 3 Primal Pleasure

This Series isn't disappointing. Another great instalment.
This one follows the eldest brother Cian, who had been trapped by a sorceress in stone for over 100 years.
Sorcha and Cale believe they finally found the sorceress at the end of book 2, but she keeps insisting she cant reverse the spell.

Why? Because they got the wrong sister. Yup, twins. It was Elena who did the spell, and they captured Emma who has minimal magical powers so cannot do anything.
They chain her to Cians gargoyle state and after a few days she actually touches find it grow warm.....within minutes Cian had been released from the stone!

Cian immediately feels the draw to Emma.
But Emma wont give her sister away and lets the Pendragons believe that she is the sorceress who did the spell.

Cian fights with anger with the false knowledge and the cat bursting at the seams inside him to go to Emma, protect her and make her his.

The revelation of Elena comes about when Emma is captured by gargoyles working for a powerful sorcerer who she was promised to wed.

Wont say any more!
But am really loving this series!

Book 4 Primal Temptation

So this book covers the last Pendragon we've been introduced to - the sister Briana.

Briana already is mated, but shes kept it a secret because of WHO she is mated to - even Lucan, her mate, doesn't know she is mated to him.

The strong attraction between these two, and seeing that both care and love each other but refuse to give into it thinking they're protecting the other....

Then they end up somehow playing the ancient game "The Gauntlet" -competing against each other, and other races of immortals.  The gift? Excalibur. Apparently. Which will give them one wish.  Briana's choice of wish keeps tipping from dissolving the mate bond and saving Lucan from his wraith side. Lucan wants to win so he can make them both forget about each other - to protect them from the hurt.

Lucan was the wraith first introduced in Book 1 as the assassin sent to kill Tristan's mate, Kennedy - even though he has no choice but to listen to the wraith side.  So Brianna's brothers are less than pleased to find Lucan hanging around their sister....

another excellent instalment, and I'm a little worried that this is the end, but the background story of Avalon and King Arthur has only been scratched, so I'm hoping more instalments to come, and i will SO be getting them!

Haven't enjoyed a series like this in a long while!
So much so, i slowed my reading down on the book as i didn't want it to finish!

Totally recommended, and am keeping an eye out for the next one!!
