You Can Never Have Too Much Smitten!

For those of you who buy Indie polishes, Smitten is a well known brand.  For those who DON'T, this review may well tempt you into trying them!

Smitten are brilliant polishes.  Amazing colours and finishes and all kinds of types -holo's, glitter, duochrome, shimmers....and they're all beautiful.  And great prices compared to some other brands.

All these polishes have a base coat of Poshe, 2 coats of Smitten and a top coat of Poshe.  The polish went on so smoothly and easily, medium thick coats and just the 2 to make them opaque. Brilliant!

So on with the pretties....

First up is "Blue Footed Booby Dance", a "blue leaning turquoise linear holographic polish". This is beautiful Went on so smoothly and the holo is amazing

This is "Harold's Crayon".  "A bright purple linear holographic polish".  Again, so pretty to look at and so easy to apply.

Just the name alone made me want this! (yes sadly, i am a Harry Potter fan! The books, mind, not really the films!), and when i saw the gorgeousness of the colour...no brainer! "Imperio" a "deep purple jelly packed with tiny purple holographic glitters". Heaven.

"The Ghost of Jupiter" is a "dark blue jelly base packed with gold, silver and navy blue dot glitter, plus super fine holo glitter and shimmer".  This to me looks like little planets in the sky when on, a great polish.

What a mouthful of a name the next one is!! Klaatu Barada Nikto -looking this phrase up it generally has to do with aliens and apparently one of the "most famous command spoke in Science Fiction" (Wikipedia). Nicole at Smitten calls it "the incantation Ash uses in Army of Darkness to retrieve the Necronomicon" (Learn something new everyday!!)  Aside from the name, the colour is jaw droppingly gorgeous. A "cobalt base with tiny coloured holographic glitters.  The combination of colours take on a deep purple or blurple shade"

The next two are older Smittens, so im not sure if therye still available to buy direct from Smitten, but some nail polish lovers might part with them, so its always worth a look.

First up is "moonbeam Dreams" - " a blue and purple glitter suspended in a milky purple base".  This one is unusual!  It reminds me of the little sugar bits you can get ontop of fairy cakes sometimes!  I think maybe an extra coat might have deepened the base colour, but as it is it looks very pretty and dainty!

This one, "You're Turning Violet, Violet" was a lemming of mine for a while, and when someone decided to sell, i snapped it up and super glad i did!  The name is obviously a homeage to Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory.  Again, not sure if you can buy this direct, so keep an eye on sales if you like it!!  Described as "a fantastic violet crelly with glowy blue holo hexes and silver, blue, and pink shimmer."

See? How gorgeous these are! Everyone should have at least one Smitten in their collection!!

Happy Polishing!
