What I'm Reading: "Biting Bad" (Chicagoland Vampires #8) by Chloe Neill **READ**

Biting Bad (Chicagoland Vampires #8) by Chloe Neill

Merit has been a vampire for only a short while, but she's already seen a lifetime's worth of trouble. She and her Master, centuries-old Ethan Sullivan, have risked their lives time and again to save the city they love. But not all of Chicago is loving them back.

Anti-vampire riots are erupting all over town, striking vampires where it hurts the most. A splinter group armed with Molotov cocktails and deep-seated hate is intent on clearing the fanged from the Windy City come hell or high water.

Merit and her allies rush to figure out who's behind the attacks, who will be targeted next, and whether there's any way to stop the wanton destruction. The battle for Chicago is just beginning, and Merit is running out of time.

Genre: Urban Fantasy

I love this series and i was shocked that i didn't even know this had come out last month, but needless to say, as soon as i found out, i rushed out to get it!

If you haven't read this series, id totally recommend it.  A strong heroine, good old supernatural storylines and well written.
To find out more about the series, you can click HERE to Fantastic Fiction which shows you the books, the order and great summeries.

SO for now, happy reading, and when i'm read up, ill put up a review!

30th September 2013

Ok, so i whooshed through this book, which is no surprise!  as always a total page turner.  i tried to put it down and picked it up to finish a chapter and ended up finishing the book instead!

This one picks up pretty much where the last book left, so this was a very political orientated book.

Beginning with riots that have no rhyme or reason to it until the last few pages, dealing with the new title of "rogue" vamps after being removed from the GP, Mallory is making a slow recovery and we see more of her in this book, which is nice to see.  Merit and Mallory's friendship is still on shaky ground, but it seems to be slowly mending which is nice!

The rioters targeted Grey House leaving them homeless and Cadogan House opens it doors to allow them somewhere safe to stay....but what punishment would either house get for Grey consorting with a blacklisted house? The GP turn up to try and bully their way around.

Merit and Ethan seems to be getting to be a better and nice romance.  I miss the tension of the "will they-wont they" but its not to say that their relationship is pushed at you, its now more of a background story now.

As always a good old cliffhanger at the end, which was totally unexpected and leaves me itching to get into the next book which is due out in February 2014 (waaaaah!!!)
