NOTD: Dollish Polish "Expecto Patronum"

Yes i love Nail polish
Yes i love Dollish Polish
Yes i Love Glitter
YES I love Harry Potter (and if you don't get the reference to this polish, where have you been!??)
NO - i don't normally like white and green and this has both!!?

WHAT!!??

Yup, me having a white and green polish!  Didn't think that would happen, but id had it in my collection a while and kept putting off trying it, and then when someone asked for it, i automatically said i had it, but needed to try it first...thinking i wouldn't like it...but omg, i did!!  So apologies for that Nail Pal!!

So, this is still on sale at Dollish Polish (click the bottle picture to go direct to it, or the name here to view her entire shop!). It doesn't look like this one is going to be put in the Acetone Vault yet, but don't take my word for that! Its available in full 15ml size at $10 (plus postage) and Mini 9ml size at $5 (again, plus postage)

OK, OK, so i give, i confess - i bought it because of the name and because i loved Harry Potter (the books more than the film though!!).  I read the colour and even though it said "white" and "green" i still felt the urge that i HAD to get it!...So i did!

Dolly describes this one as
"This is a milky white crelly polish with a hint of Green shimmer, has iridescent flakies and varying size Teal Green glitters for a magically enchanting manicure worthy of Hogwarts!"

How can you not love something that has the words "magically" and "Hogwarts" in the description!!

Anyway, onto the polish itself!
Its the normal standard that you expect from Dollish Polishes! This was a bit more of a runny consistency than normal, but easily fixed with either a thickener or just adjusting the way you apply (i chose the later...it was cheaper!!).

So, you'll pull the brush out and you'll see beads of polish begin to accumulate at the end of the brush (the one attached to the lid!), wait for these to reach the brush and just dab them off. it leaves you with a thinly coated brush, but perfect for this polish.
Applies easily as normal, doesn't dry too quickly so you can add more polish onto the coat if you need to.
I applied 3 coats - 2 might do the job but i wanted to get total coverage so did 3 to make sure of it!
This is the coats, all without topcoat at the moment..

See how the last coat just covers the tips of the nail showing? I'm happy with the 3 coats on this one!

Base coat used here was Nails Inc Hyde park, 3 coats of polish and 2 luscious coats of Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Gel Topcoat.

I think what makes me like this one is that its not *too* white and not *too* green.  Its like a very pale green with glitter in it, so it kind of waters down the whiteness and also the green!
OK, I'm hoping that bit made sense!

Whatever it is..i like it! And i only have this and OPI Mermaid Tears as anything green in my collection and I'm OK with that!

Is it staying?
Sorry to say, but yep this one stays right here with my other polish babies!!

Happy Polishing!!
