NOTD: Nails Inc Little Portland Street


So, after my little trip to Indie Polish land, i was de-stashing and came into my Nails Inc bag, and wow, i forget that they have some great colours and textures now!
So the one i "enee-mini-minie-moed" was "Little Portland Street". This was from the "Fine Sprinkles" collection as part of a four set, which is still available for £22.20 (plus postage) -in the link, but i only have this and Devonshire Place, so you can find them separated and for sale possibly cheaper.

I didn't realise it was a matte/textured polish when i got it, but that's not a bad thing!
One good thing, it only needed two coats for a full coverage.  Yes its not very neat again, and i know there's a blank spot on my middle finger on the first picture, but the second coat covered all misgivings!!


Like i said, it was a matte finish. Not as textured as the OPI's Liquid Sand, but that's a good thing too, as when i added the top coat, it still has the textured look but is actually smooth!

As usual, i did my nails before i fed the dogs, so the polish got ruffled easily.  I did this about 10 minutes after i had put the top coat on and it still wasn't dry enough to actually do things without the fear of snagging the polish, so id give it possibly a good half an hour, unless you have a rapid way to dry them!  (hey, gives you a great reason to not do the dishes till later!!).

I used Leighton Denny's Crystal Finish top coat for this mani.  This is the first time I've used this top coat, and i actually like it. Not too thin or thick, so its easy to apply and leaves a great shine!


You can still see the small pieces of silver and red glitter when it catches the light.

I like it, but i would much prefer my "Marylebone 3D Glitter" i got beforehand -has more depth, i get so many compliments on that one.
This one is much brighter and vibrant, so would be great for Summer (if we get any sun..) and i felt like a bright colour today, so this was the one!

The only thing id say be careful of is the drying time, it does seem to take longer than the average polish!
